Creating Promotional Codes

LetsReg enables you to create promotional codes if you wish to provide individual clients with a discount.  This can be used for promotions, individual user cases and more.

To access this, click on Discount codes underneath Event management:

Here, you can select Add new discount code:

In the details for the discount code, the name is the internal reference whilst the code is the reference you will provide to the customer.

You can create a code using one of the following options;

Percentage: Determines the percentage that will be taken off from the full price.

Fixed amount: Determines the amount that will be taken off from the full price.

The below example details a percentage of 20%:

Underneath this, you have the option to add valid from and to dates; this is relevant if your discount code is for a time-limited offer.

You can also set a maximum number of uses per code, which is useful if you are sharing the code with a limited number of participants.  Alternatively, you can leave this set to 0 (meaning unlimited).

After finishing these details, click Save to add the code to your site.

Within the event admin page, you will now need to navigate to Settings:

Here, ensure that the Enable discount codes to be used option is enabled.  You also have the further options of showing this on the checkout page for the client, as well as making the box mandatory (this would usually be left unchecked).

The customer will then be able to enter their discount code using the box within the registration form:
